Neon Love Song (Part II) is the third single from the self-released duo. While The Daydream Club’s debut album ‘Overgrown’ deliberately aimed to strip away production layers to focus on song-writing and acoustic instrumentation. This reworked version of the album favourite is a sign of things to come, with a fuller more epic sound, recalling the contemporary girl / boy harmonies of Slow Club, the delicate folk of Angus and Julia Stone and a nostalgic yearning for yesteryear Fleetwood Mac and The Carpenters. This re-worked single version was recorded and mixed by Sam Bell (REM, Snow Patrol, Robbie Williams & Foals) and features a epic strings section including Elbow’s violinist and Lana Del Ray’s Cellist. The addition of strings and drums provides the perfect musical foil for the tracks lyrics “Ambience & power, power and grace.” The single is backed by the original album version of the track, and the sparse near haunting Centaurs remix created by a member of hotly tipped Australian four-piece Blackchords, which The Daydream Club are offering to fans as a free download. The campaign, which launched on April 4th will be revealed throughout April. All the tracks were recorded exclusively for Burberry with stunning accompanying music videos filmed on set in London. ------------------ ARTIST BIOGRAPHY: Adam Pickering and Paula Walker (The Daydream Club) met while studying at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and released their debut album ‘Overgrown’ via their own label Poco Poco Records in November 2010. Their debut single, a limited edition 7" vinyl 'The Record Shop' was released to coincide with Record Store Day 2011, and quickly caught the attention of BBC radio Nottingham and Tom Robinson at BB6 Music. Second single On The Move (Part II) caught the imagination of music bloggers and radio stations alike in part due to it’s highly imaginative and insanely cute ‘backwards’ music video. Tom Robinson described the track as “Mesmerising” Dean Jackson BBC Nottingham called it “Hypnotic” and music blog Audio Scribbler called The Daydream Club "Our finest find of 2012 so far.” The Daydream Club have become a fixture on the MySpace folk charts frequently outperforming major label artists including Mumford & Sons, while the duo’s appearance on the Burberry Acoustic programme generated over 100,000 views despite no formal PR support. The Daydream Club have a growing reputation as taste makers, they create monthly playlists, have curated their own new music Podcast, and released ‘The Night’ Remix EP which saw them take on three new artists: Tigers That Talked, Blackchords & Coockoo. In My Shoes [Summer Daydream Project Original]

In My Shoes What would you do if I didn't talk to you? Would you get angry? Would you dislike me? What would you do if I throw tantrums? On something random? Just like you do. Refrain: Now, I wouldn't want to say this you Cuz I love you, oh I love you Chorus: But would you try, would you try a day? In my shoes, in my shoes for a change. So you would know how hard it is to stay sane, inlove, and how my feelings didn't change Would you try, would you try My day for a change? What would you do if we broke up? Out of nowhere Just cuz you dont care Enough bout what I wanted "I'm taken for granted" As told by you. Bridge: Woah-wo-woah

May [Summer Daydream Project Original]

Since it's still summer for me. Made this during May which explains the title. May (lyrics) She sets the sunlight Bright and burning Puts the star on the sky, down falling She just stands there Straight up smiling I'm melting now Her face is not something I won't remember She keeps me up when I fall down under She warms me up when it's December Like all year's May Refrain: I always wish you'd stay Keep all nightmares at bay So stay, so stay Chorus: It's summer all year round With you here, I just found My endless everyday feels fine now, come what may And here I feel the wheels are turning You and I forever darling Our endless everyday feels grand now, come what may, all in May She puts me high My sweet surrender I know for real that she's a keeper A stare that stays, a voice that lingers Calling me Repeat Refrain Repeat Chorus Bridge: The heat must have got me Cause baby I've been falling for you slowly I'm wishing you would stay Please tell me you would stay Stay Stay Please stay Repeat Chorus All in May, all in May

Pedro Guardado - Daydream (Project 4)

This is the updated version of my project! I had more time to work on it and I think it really shows it! I added a little more dynamics and this time I did it right! I also added accent marks, and a new instrument, a violin, which really brings out the mood of the song! Hope everyone enjoys my work! I gave it my all! Be sure to give me all of your opinions! Thanks for listening!

Nyendro Nyem- The Daydream Farmers ft. Tsedon

This is one of my favourite Dzongkha songs and it was originally sung by Aum Dechen Pem. My talented friend Kinley Wangchu (Ganchu) from the local band 'The Daydream Farmers' had remixed the track as a duet and when he asked me to sing along with him, I was thrilled! We sang this remix version in 2008 and it is the first song I recorded in a studio. To my international friends and listeners, this song is about two past lovers meeting by chance after many years only to discover that they still have feelings for one another. Happy listening :)

16. Soundwaves of Gold

Soundwaves of Gold

Found is the rootsy folk-pop lead single from The Daydream Club’s EP of the same name. The track which has already featured in acoustic form on Burberry’s Youtube channel is exactly what The Daydream Club are known for, Adam Pickering and Paula Walkers trademark girl/boy harmonies that are found here layered authentically over southern tinged steel string and strums. Found delivers equal measures of stomp along and intimate pullbacks in both the dynamics and the drive of the song all of which is tweaked with mastering from Pete Maher (U2 & The White Stripes). Never settled with just one version of a song, Adam & Paula like to experiment with alternatives and re-imagine their own work. Found (Remixed) involves them stretching their musical legs and flipping the original songs on their heads. Expect funky "The Meters" inspired beats, shuffled pianos, vast soundscapes, deep bass and synths. Released on the same date as Found. Adam and Paula who met while studying at Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts have already enjoyed significant support from Dean Jackson (BBC Nottingham) & Tom Robinson (BBC6 Music) and also provided the soundtrack to Burberry’s 2012 eye wear campaign with their track ‘Neon Love Song Part ll’ . Following a recent hugely successful fan funding campaign that saw fans pledge money for songwriting lessons, bespoke cover versions and even a personalised song the band are now ready to launch this self produced EP. 17. The Daydream Club: On The Move (Original)

The Daydream Club: On The Move (Original)

RELEASE DATE: MARCH 12 POCO POCO RECORDS On The Move (Part II) is the new single by The Daydream Club. "A beautiful, beautiful song...hypnotic." Dean Jackson The Beat, BBC Radio Nottingham "Beautiful music by beautiful people" The BBC "Understated and yet very intriguing. Wonderful song-craft" Amazing Radio Adam Pickering and Paula Walker (The Daydream Club) met while studying at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and released their debut album ‘Overgrown’ via their own label (Poco Poco Records) in November 2010. The album deliberately aimed to strip away production layers to focus on song-writing and acoustic instrumentation. The duo's debut single 'The Record Shop,' a limited edition vinyl released to coincide with Record Store Day, led to live sessions for both regional BBC radio stations (BBC Tees – Bob Fischer, BBC Nottingham – Dean Jackson) and Tom Robinson’s show on BBC6 Music. The new single, On The Move (Part II) hints at the developing musical direction for the duo, with a fuller, more expansive sound, recalling the atmospherics of The XX and Cocteau Twins, with The Daydream Club's own trademark boy / girl harmonies. Check out the insanely cute & highly imaginative video for On The Move (Part II). ‎ http://youtu.be/wRtM_TP2umI It took 50 balloons, 30 party poppers, 2 days of thinking backwards & just 1 take to make. If ever a video perfectly encapsulated a band, this is surely it. The single is backed by the original, rhythmically driven album version of the track, which showcases the percussive guitar skills of Adam Pickering, as featured on Secret Sessions http://youtu.be/GBMrCKkRMJA This single release has been fuelled by fan power after 'On The Move' became a fixture on the Myspace charts, frequently outperforming major label artists including Mumford & Sons & Amy Winehouse. 2012 promises to be an exciting year for the duo, with brand new material on the way, and next single 'Neon Love Song' set to feature in a global brand advertising campaign this May. THE DAYDREAM CLUB: In the Arms of Another Day

In The Arms of Another Day is a track taken from The Daydream Club's debut album Overgrown. Follow link to full album: http://bit.ly/smv2x6 It was also featured in the Burberry Acoustic sessions: http://youtu.be/JHkbDmpGJFQ The premise behind Overgrown was to strip everything right back to the bare bones of a song aiming to highlight the arrangement that remains. It was this idea that led to the intimate acoustic affair which is The Daydream Clubs debut release. Of the title record they say, "Overgrown is about losing sight of where you want to be but continuing on blindly regardless." “Overgrown is a simply delightful collection of thoughtful songs, arranged in modest and understated ways that allow you to touch their lyrical core.” Consequence of Sound 4/5 ✶✶✶✶ "The Daydream Club take their own passion and create something so evocative that it has its own soul and that’s what I love about them as a band and about the album." Hive Magazine 4/5 ✶✶✶✶ “It’s absolutely extraordinary.” BBC

19. Saltwater

Saltwater

The Daydream Club’s Adam Pickering surprised his musical soulmate Paula Walker by asking her to marry him during the video shoot for their new single Saltwater. Adam explains…”I’d been thinking ahead to the future and while filming the video for Saltwater I realised that I would probably never have a more perfect opportunity to do it. Paula and I had our first official date at Formby Beach in Liverpool. It’s an absolutely beautiful place, so I suggested it to Paula as a shoot location (secretly thinking that it’s the ideal place to pop the question). I had the perfect musical backdrop, meaningful setting and even sparklers… After initial confusion from Paula, (she thought it was a strange scene that I hadn’t told her about), she eventually realised it was a genuine moment and thankfully said yes.” Saltwater is their love song, Adam & Paula explain... “It’s about finding your soul-mate, the person you fit so perfectly with that you move together through life as one fluid entity.” “You are salt and I the water, and now we are the ocean, we move in fluid motion” Never content with just one version of their music the Saltwater single is backed with a self produced remix, which effortlessly re-imagines the track as the coolest of club tunes. It's a dirty-phat-electronic-euphoric-fist-pump! In the last few years award winning alt-folk-pop duo The Daydream Club (Adam Pickering and Paula Walker) have enjoyed significant support from the BBC (TV and Radio), Rolling Stone, Burberry, Vogue and the Hype Machine’s most influential music blogs. The Leicester based duo have an innate gift for captivating the audience with their onstage chemistry, personable charm and seamless girl/boy harmonies. Tracks from their last release, double EP ‘Found’ and ‘Found (Remixed)’ amassed a staggering one million streams in just two weeks after they were added to a Spotify curated playlist, this led to their first BBC Radio 1 play via Huw Stephens.
