A week ago I made a mix entitled "The Blend" dedicated to blending different styles into electronic hip-hop ( https://www.mixcloud.com/cherenkovriddim/the-blend/ )
This name doesn't come from nowhere : it's a legendary track from The Herbaliser that I listened and drop countless times in my mixes.
I was making some laid-back beats so I decided to morph this into a little tribute !
And of course, here you go for the original : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1PaSn60KSw
Okay so I was toying around with some samples and this got way out of control...
BUT if you kinda feel nostalgic about some oldschool 90s and 00s little pop gems, you could enjoy this =)
Here you go for the originals :
Damn I love Ennio Morricone, his tracks were perfect soundscapes for the awesome Sergio Leone movies. I used to make a hip-hop riddim with the Cheyenne Theme from Once Opon the time in the West (best western ever) :
And what could go near the Morricone/Leone level ? The Morricone/Tarantino combination of course ! So I remixed this track The Braying Mule from Django Unchained OST becausecause when I butcher and rip apart a track, it's cause I enjoy it so much I need to play with it =)
Here you go for the original : http://soundcloud.com/unchained-soundtrack/03-the-braying-mule-28clean-29
Here is an electro hip-hop remix of this *huge* classic tune from DJ Vadim : The Terrorist.
For those who might not know : here you go for the original : http://soundcloud.com/dj-vadim/the-terrorist
And for DJs who might want to get a mp3 320kb/s copy, here's the link : http://cherenkovriddim.net/releases/CKV-005/
Here is an old track I made for my set @ Astropolis (tracklist here : http://www.last.fm/user/Loupitour/journal/2010/08/04/3tkkza_cherenkov_riddim_%40_astropolis_-_tracklist )
I uploaded this out of the dust when hearing http://soundcloud.com/coilocilator/the-good-the-bad-and-the-remix
Here is a little remix I did for this remix contest : http://starwaxmag.com/news/starwax-x-posca-picture-disc-battleremix2/
This I didn't mashed it to death and kept most of the original bits but somehow I wanted to add a little junglish touch to it so here it goes =).
(Btw, you should check anything produced by 20syl or his band Hocus Pocus, this is serious AAA-grade dope shit.)
